At Wisdom International School, we believe in fostering an environment of respect, discipline, and mutual understanding. Our rules and regulations are designed to ensure that every student thrives in a safe and supportive atmosphere where academic, moral, and spiritual growth can flourish. These guidelines help us maintain a positive and productive learning environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
General Conduct:
Respect and Integrity
- All students are expected to demonstrate respect for their teachers, peers, and school staff at all times. Integrity, honesty, and responsibility are the cornerstones of our school culture.
- Students should uphold high moral standards, both in and outside of school, ensuring their actions reflect the values of the school and the teachings of Islam.
Islamic Etiquette
- Students must follow Islamic etiquettes in school, including appropriate dress, greetings, and behavior. Maintaining cleanliness, modesty, and respect in all interactions is essential.
- All students must participate in regular prayers (Salah) and other Islamic practices as part of their spiritual development.
Attendance and Punctuality:
Regular Attendance
- Students must attend school regularly. Absences should only occur in cases of illness or emergencies, and a valid medical certificate or explanation must be provided for prolonged absences.
- Any absence for religious holidays or personal reasons should be communicated in advance to the school administration.
Punctuality
- Students are expected to be on time for all classes, assemblies, and extracurricular activities. Tardiness disrupts the learning environment and must be avoided.
- Consistent lateness will be addressed by the school administration, with appropriate action taken to ensure punctuality.
Dress Code:
Uniform Policy
- All students must adhere to the school’s uniform policy. The uniform should be worn neatly and properly, reflecting the school’s values of discipline and modesty.
- Girls must wear the prescribed uniform, including a hijab where applicable, in accordance with the school's Islamic guidelines.
- Boys should wear the standard uniform with proper grooming and tidiness.
Personal Grooming
- Students should maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards, including neatly combed hair and clean, well-maintained attire.
- Jewelry, makeup, and other accessories should be minimal and not detract from the school’s values of modesty.
Classroom Behavior:
Active Participation
- Students are expected to be attentive, respectful, and actively participate in all classes and discussions. Disruptive behavior, including talking out of turn, distracting others, or neglecting responsibilities, will not be tolerated.
- Proper classroom etiquette should be followed, such as raising hands to speak and listening attentively to the teacher and classmates.
Respect for Property
- Students must take care of school property and personal belongings. Damaging or defacing school property will result in disciplinary action.
- Students should keep their classrooms, corridors, and school grounds clean and free of litter.
Disciplinary Actions:
Behavioral Expectations
- Students are expected to adhere to the code of conduct both within and outside the school premises. Misbehavior, including bullying, disrespect, or any form of violence, is strictly prohibited.
- Disciplinary actions may include warnings, detention, suspension, or, in extreme cases, expulsion, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
Confidentiality and Privacy
- Students must respect the privacy of their peers, teachers, and school staff. Bullying, gossiping, or invading others’ privacy will not be tolerated.
- Digital and online privacy should also be respected, and students must not engage in any cyberbullying or misuse of school technology.
Health and Safety:
Medical Records
- All students must provide updated health information, including allergies, medical conditions, and emergency contacts. This information is kept confidential and used only in case of emergencies.
- Parents should notify the school if their child is ill or requires any special health accommodations.
Safety Protocols
- Students must follow all safety protocols and guidelines set by the school, including evacuation procedures during drills, safe use of school facilities, and adherence to any health guidelines in place.
- Any incidents of injury or accidents must be reported immediately to the school administration.
Technology Use:
Acceptable Use of Technology
- Students are allowed to use technology for educational purposes only. Use of mobile phones, laptops, and other devices for non-academic purposes during school hours is prohibited.
- Social media and online platforms should be used responsibly, with respect for others' privacy and the school’s values.
Internet Safety
- Students must adhere to the school's internet safety guidelines, ensuring they do not access inappropriate content or engage in harmful online activities.
- Cyberbullying and misuse of school networks or devices will lead to disciplinary action.
Co-Curricular Activities:
- Active Participation
- Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities such as sports, arts, clubs, and community service. Participation in these activities helps build character, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Commitment and punctuality to co-curricular activities are expected.
Parental Involvement:
- Communication with Parents
- Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with the school to stay informed about their child’s progress, school events, and any issues that may arise.
- Regular parent-teacher meetings will be held to ensure collaboration between the school and parents in the development of the student.
